Duijvestijn Tomaten and The Flavour Farm strengthen growth ambitions

Duijvestijn Tomaten and The Flavour Farm are pleased to announce a series of organisational changes aimed at enhancing sustainable ambitions and creating new opportunities. Both parties are delighted to announce that Ad van Adrichem, who has been the General Manager of Duijvestijn Tomaten since 2016, will become the new Director of Business Development at The Flavour Farm. To ensure the continuity and culture of the organisation, a suitable successor was sourced internally and has been found in the person of Jonne Versteeg – currently Head of Sales and Manager of LogiFour, the Packing Arm of Duijvestijn Tomaten. Jonne will take over general affairs and overall responsibility from Ad as the new General Manager as of March 1.

In his role as Director of Business Development, Ad will apply his expertise in energy management and cultivation technology on a larger scale. Based in Pijnacker, he will focus on the realization of international projects and the implementation of new technologies and innovations in the field of energy and cultivation across all The Flavour Farm facilities. “I have always enjoyed the role of General Manager, but my true passion lies in innovation and sustainable energy. I look forward to dedicating myself fully to this area and passing the torch to a successor who will bring new perspectives to this great position.”

With Jonne at the helm, Duijvestijn Tomaten expects to further expand its activities and scope in the coming years. Jonne has demonstrated excellent leadership capabilities in his current role and approaches the current and future challenges in the sector with a fresh perspective. Over the next year, Ad will assist him to ensure a smooth transition. Jonne: “My approach is a continuation of the current course of business. Duijvestijn Tomaten is a wonderful company with a unique culture and a skilled team. My focus is primarily on maintaining our long-term relationships, both internally and externally, and further concretizing our sustainability ambitions.”

Additionally, Franky Koekebakker will assume the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of The Flavour Farm as of March 1. In this role, he will oversee the commercial activities of Duijvestijn Tomaten and give further impetus to the growth and development of The Flavour Farm’s sales organisation. Franky has years of experience within the sector as a Commercial Director.

This organisational realignment is in line with The Flavour Farm’s ambitions to annually realize new projects that contribute to the goal of becoming a key player in the sustainability of the North European greenhouse vegetable market. Gert van Straalen, The Flavour Farm CEO is therefore delighted that both Ad and Jonne enthusiastically embrace these new challenges and has full confidence that they will be able to handle them the right way. Additionally, Gert is convinced that Franky, with his extensive experience in Sales, will make a valuable contribution to further strengthening The Flavour Farm ‘s position.
